The meta-reflexive study of scholarly communications and higher education in the digital age has long been of vital importance. This special collection gathers articles at the OLH on this topic. The special collection welcomes both empirical and theoretical contributions in any mode of inquiry, from qualitative through to quantitative research. Areas for exploration include but are not limited to open-access publishing, evaluation and assessment, corporate involvement in academia, metrification, HE policy, and research funding systems. After initial screening, articles will undergo double-blind peer review. This special collection is edited by Martin Paul Eve, Professor of Literature, Technology and Publishing, Birkbeck, University of London.
